Picture perfect Bruges. Krakow, Prague, Dubrovnik, Tallinn are some of the most beautiful and perfectly preserved cities in Europe. But arguably, Bruges should be on top of this list. Bruges, located in the northern part of Belgium, dates back to the 9th century. Bruges, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a medieval masterpiece. Canals crisscross the picturesque town.
The town is anchored by the Grote Markt (central market), a wide expense with the towering 83 meter Belfry of Bruges. Cafes and restaurants surround the plaza, a great place to people watch during the afternoon.

Great photos. I’ve always wanted to see Bruges (since seeing the movie – had never heard of it before). I always prefer small to mid-sized towns to cities.

It was my first visit, and it lived up to expectations. Beautiful town to relax and walk around in.
