A brief flight and I found myself in a different world. I flew from Barcelona and arrived in Algiers the capital of Algeria. Compared to its northern neighbors there is a lack of tourist information on Algeria, and that is a shame. Overall, my experience in Algeria was both rewarding and secure. I spent nearly two weeks in the country and felt like I needed more time.
There is much to see and do in Algeria. A beautiful, atmospheric capital that sits on the Mediterranean Sea. It is bathed in white and set amongst rolling hills. Across the northern coast are a number of barely visited Roman Ruins. In south, you can visit the unique oasis town of Ghardaia, and take a step back in time. And in Timimoun, you can explore the Sahara.
